The role involves assisting with fittings and permanent jewelry selections, supporting piercing and styling appointments, and keeping displays attractive while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Role Description The Jewelry Stylist is a part-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This role involves greeting customers, learning their style preferences, and recommending jewelry pieces that complement their look and occasion. The Jewelry Stylist will assist with fittings and permanent jewelry selections, support piercing and styling appointments, and ensure displays are well-organized and visually appealing. Day-to-day tasks include managing customer inquiries, maintaining product knowledge, handling point-of-sale transactions, and supporting store events or promotions. The role also requires collaborating with team members to provide an inclusive, welcoming, and service-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service and client-facing skills, including active listening, rapport building, and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Styling and fashion sensibility, with the ability to curate looks, suggest complementary pieces, and adapt recommendations to different tastes and occasions.
• Sales and retail skills, including basic POS operation, cash handling, and the ability to meet or support store sales goals.
• Attention to detail and organization, including maintaining clean displays, tracking inventory at a basic level, and following store procedures.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Comfort working in close physical proximity with customers for fittings and piercings, following all hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Prior experience in retail, jewelry, or fashion styling is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent; authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to stand for extended periods.
