Job summary

Blue Nile is seeking a detail-oriented QC Associate to join our manufacturing team. You will perform in-process inspections of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other jewelry items to ensure they meet quality standards.

The role requires using precision tools and documenting defects to drive continuous improvement. Ideal candidates have jewelry manufacturing QC experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across production teams.

Qualifications

• Understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• GED or equivalent high school diploma.
• Previous experience in Quality Control, particularly in a Jewelry Manufacturing company.
• Familiarity with jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, gemstones, settings, and finishing techniques preferred.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gemstone gauges, and magnification devices for precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of in-process jewelry products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards.
• Provide feedback to bench workers on quality of individual jewelry pieces to promote quality awareness.
• Identify and record quality-related data of defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify jewelry dimensions, gemstone sizes, and other critical measurements.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company quality control policies throughout manufacturing.
