About M. Flynn Jewelry

For over 15 years, M. Flynn has been at the forefront of Boston\'s jewelry scene—designing custom pieces, offering expert repairs, and curating collections from top designers. We serve the modern jewelry client who values craftsmanship, individuality, and exceptional service.

Position Summary

We\'re looking for a highly organized, detail-driven professional to manage our custom jewelry program, bench repair operations, and in-house product development. In this role, success depends as much on your ability to plan, track, and coordinate as it does on your technical knowledge of jewelry. Because we are a small, close-knit team, collaboration is essential—you will work on a daily basis with sales, our production assistant, and bench jewelers to keep projects moving smoothly from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee all custom and special-order projects, ensuring clear and timely ongoing communication between sales, production, and vendors.
  • Set and manage daily/weekly workflow priorities for the bench jewelers, keeping the sales team regularly updated on progress & deadlines
  • Handle select in-house bench jobs and partner closely with the production assistant to complete repairs and projects.
  • Manage vendor repairs and in-house work to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Coordinate new product development, sourcing materials, and tracking profitability.
  • Maintain and oversee the Fuse Bracelet and Engraving programs, including inventory and margins. Use your skills and abilities to operate laser and engraving machine.
  • Track and approve product quality, implement price changes, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and secure handling of all projects.
  • Keep bench area & other production areas organized, clean and productive.
  • Foster a respectful, team-focused environment where communication flows easily and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications/Characteristics

  • 2-3+ years in bench jewelry work, jewelry production, repair, or custom design.
  • Experience with Smartsheets or similar project management tools.

Schedule: Full-Time, Tuesday-Saturday (some special events— occasional nights or weekends may be required)

You Are...

  • Exceptionally organized, able to manage multiple projects and priorities without losing track of details.
  • A natural collaborator who works well across departments and values input from others.
  • Experienced in jewelry production workflows, with strong follow-through on deadlines and budgets.
  • A clear communicator who keeps both team members and clients informed of timelines.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with administrative coordination.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive total compensation package including competitive salary and performance incentives, health insurance benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, Healthcare Savings Account (HSA), supplemental retirement plan with company match, paid vacation and other time off benefits, professional development opportunities, and jewelry credits and discounts - in addition to the opportunity to work with a small, creative, high energy team located in the south end of Boston.
