Job summary

Exemplar Luxury Group, operating Neiman Marcus, seeks a Jewelry Operations Associate to support the Jewelry Department’s day-to-day functions, including processing new jewelry, handling returns to vendor, coordinating repairs, organizing trunk shows, and maintaining inventory integrity.

You will support the Selling Manager on the floor, ensure accurate case counts, and assist with keeping the department stocked and organized, contributing to overall store performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and book all jewelry in accordance with company standards.
• Enter merchandise into the case count system after receipt.
• Process returns to vendor or transfers per standards and obtain tracking numbers.
• Maintain a repair log and track repairs with vendor or local shop.
• Submit repair invoices with documentation to Accounts Payable.
• Receive merchandise for trunk shows and verify against manifest.
• Assist trunk show setup/take-down and recap results.

Job Description:

YOU WILL BE:

Under direction from the Jewelry Selling Manager, the Jewelry Operations Associate is responsible for supporting all operational functions of the Jewelry Department, including but not limited to processing new merchandise, processing return to vendor and transfer transactions, processing repairs, organizing trunk shows, performing daily case counts and inventory maintenance, and conducting special communications with the Corporate Buying Team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Receive, verify, and properly book all jewelry in accordance with company standards (photocopy all fine jewelry, reconcile all PO issues with the buying office)
• Ensure all merchandise is entered into the case count system after it has been received
• Retrieve and process all merchandise to be returned to the vendor or transferred in accordance with company standards (properly pack merchandise, retrieve a tracking number for all outbound shipments)
• Maintain a repair log, check merchandise in/out and track all repairs sent to the vendor or local shop
• Submit repair invoices with proper documentation to Accounts Payable
• Receive all merchandise for trunk shows and verify the number and condition of the pieces against the manifest list
• Assist in trunk show set-up/take-down, compile results and recap the trunk show business
• Ensure case counts are completed and all discrepancies are reconciled
• Reticket all merchandise without tickets (returns or anything with a non-readable tag)
• Prepare all special order requests and submit to buyers
• Assist Selling Manager and associates on the selling floor as necessary
• Ensure the department is stocked with supplies
• Other store initiatives as assigned by management
• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience

Salary Range $17.05 - $21.32*

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
