Position Summary

The Regional MRO Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales and/or VP Aircraft Maintenance Operations. As the Regional MRO Sales Manager, you will oversee the relationship between the Company and its Southwest region MRO customers. The Regional MRO Sales Manager is expected to travel in the region to generate prospects, define work scopes, and finalize the sale of airframe/engine/avionics and interior maintenance and/or upgrades on the Company's target aircraft.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sell all services offered at the Company's MRO Service Centers.
  2. Initiate, develop and maintain a business and personal relationship with customers.
  3. Develop a sales plan that ensures each customer in the assigned region is contacted every quarter.
  4. Negotiate all sales agreements in a fair and equitable manner while maximizing profit potential for the company.
  5. Act as the customer’s advocate while maintaining a balance between the customer and the company.
  6. Interface on behalf of the company with professional organizations in the sales territory. Participate in industry events such as M&O’s, NBAA, PAMA, etc., as directed by the V.P. of Maintenance Operations.
  7. Prepare and submit travel and expense reports as directed.
  8. Maintain excellent lines of communication with all members of the company's Sales Team and operational personnel at the various company's facilities.
  9. Accurately gather all appropriate technical information and submit such data in the form of a timely RFQ to the Quoting/Planning and Scheduling team.
  10. Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and monitoring processes to ensure comprehensive and accurate aircraft maintenance service requirements, specifications and design projects are aligned to meet customer and corporate objectives.
  11. Responsible for increasing market share, penetration and predictability within the Maintenance Sales organization.
  12. Ensure sales volume meets and/or exceeds the company's targets.
  13. Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  14. Promote and reinforce positive working relationships with clients and industry peers.
  15. Share professional experience and knowledge regarding suppliers, products, competition and/or markets, with the team members.
  16. Understand and drive the company philosophy, value and vision in all behavior, practices and decisions.
  17. Travel is required to meet the essential duties of the job.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Competencies and Skills

  1. Position resides and works out of the southwest region (preferably in the southern California area).
  2. Ability to travel on short notice, up to 75%.
  3. Corporate Aviation experience required.
  4. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  5. Assertive, possesses high energy, and is self-motivated.
  6. A high level of integrity.
  7. Proven ability to make educated and informed decisions, with positive results.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years hands-on maintenance or avionics experience.
  2. Must also possess an A&P license or an FCC license.
  3. A minimum of 5 years in an MRO sales position is a must.

Compensation

The likely salary range for this position is $124,000 - $200,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements.
