Job summary

M1 Support Services' Aircraft Mechanic performs aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and component removal/installation using technical data, schematics, and applicable directives. Conducts inspections, servicing, and engine removal/installation while ensuring compliance with safety, FOD prevention, tool control, and environmental programs.

Operates ground support equipment, supports aircraft movement, and maintains accurate maintenance documentation to meet USAF and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of jet aircraft systems and use of common and special tools.
• Reading and comprehension of technical data required.
• 18 months of general aircraft maintenance experience required; 1 year in past 3 years on applicable aircraft or aircraft familiarization.

Responsibilities

• Use schematics and technical publications to remove/install engines and replace components.
• Adhere to FOD prevention, tool control, environmental and safety programs.
• Perform aircraft conditional inspections and servicing tasks.
• Operate ground support equipment and document discrepancies before use.
• Move aircraft on the ground and prepare records per USAF and company directives.
• Order parts and supplies as needed and follow maintenance directives.
• Participate in towing and movement during maintenance activities.
