Job summary

The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Title I After School Program Teacher for the Knight Test Prep program serving grades 2-5. The role runs January 12, 2027 through April 15, 2027, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, with a pay rate of $46 per hour (not to exceed $1840, including training).

Qualifications include appropriate NJ Certification and excellent communication skills.

The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and qualified Title I After School Program Teacher

Required:

• Appropriate NJ Certification
• Great Communication Skills

Duties:

• Engage students in all ELA & Math enrichment/intervention integrating tutorial academic skills. The Knight Prep: After School Test Preparation Program will focus on preparation for state assessments.
• Identify, select and modify tutorial resources to enrich student learning.
• Administer pre and post assessments in ELA & Math. Provide timely, targeted intervention based on student needs and strengthen foundational academic skills.
• Support classroom instruction through ongoing progress monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student outcomes.
• Maintain timely attendance, lesson documentation and any other requested Title I student data.

Dates: January 12, 2027- April 15, 2027 (Tuesday & Thursday 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm)

Rate of Pay: $46 per hour (not to exceed $1840 to include one hour training)
