Job summary

Jereh North America Group is seeking an experienced electrical/HVAC engineer for leading North American data center design projects. You will optimize liquid-cooling designs, oversee modular/containerized data center integrations, and drive certifications and AHJ approvals across multi-discipline teams.

• Drive UL product certification: plan tests, coordinate with labs and certification bodies.
• Lead AHJ approval processes: prep submissions, liaise with authorities, secure permits.
• Systematize NA market-entry technical requirements and build a compliance knowledge base.
• Provide full-lifecycle technical support for future NA AIDC projects from concept to acceptance.
• Collaborate with China R&D to feed NA code requirements back into product design.

Job description

• Review and optimize the engineering design of liquid‑cooling equipment (CDUs, magnetic‑levitation chillers, dry coolers) to ensure compliance with North American codes and design practices.
• Review and optimize the fully prefabricated containerized data center solution (integrating ELE, MECH‑HVAC, IT, ELV, fire protection, plumbing, and structural) to ensure manufacturability, deliverability, and approvability.
• Lead design review and optimization of the 2 MW US reference project across electrical, HVAC, IT, ELV, fire protection, plumbing, and structural disciplines.
• Drive UL product certification: develop test plans and rectification strategies; coordinate with third‑party labs and certification bodies.
• Lead AHJ approval processes: prepare technical submission documents, liaise with local authorities having jurisdiction, and secure construction and operational permits.
• Systematize North American market‑entry technical requirements (code systems, certification pathways, approval workflows) and build an internal compliance knowledge base.
• Provide full‑lifecycle technical support for future North American AIDC projects — from concept design through construction documentation, commissioning, and acceptance.
• Collaborate closely with the China R&D team to feed North American code requirements back into product design and engineering iteration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering (ELE) or HVAC‑related disciplines.
• 8+ years of data center design and engineering experience with hands‑on North American project exposure.
• Strong electrical/power distribution or HVAC background, with broad understanding of other AIDC disciplines (IT, ELV, fire protection, plumbing, structural) for cross‑discipline design coordination.
• Familiar with North American codes and design practices (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, TIA‑942, Uptime Tier); proficient in UL product certification; knowledgeable about AHJ requirements, permitting processes, and local market‑entry requirements.

Required Skills

• Background in leading North American engineering/design firms (e.g., AECOM, Jacobs, Corgan, Page, DLR Group) or top‑tier EPC general contractors.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, or certifications such as LEED AP or ASHRAE HFDP.
• Direct design experience with liquid‑cooling systems (CDU, chillers, dry coolers) or prefabricated/modular data centers.
• Proven track record of UL certification projects or end‑to‑end AHJ approval processes.
