Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff, and property.
• Patrol Jefferson campus on foot or bicycle, monitor safety at various locations.
• Respond to serious incidents, take appropriate action following laws and policies.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff, maintaining Jefferson's values.
• Perform security checks, provide escorts, and report concerns in writing.
• Produce incident reports, advise crime victims, and coordinate with law enforcement.
• Assist with security details, VIP protection, crowd control, and emergency response.
• Perform additional security duties as directed.

Required Competencies

• Knowledge of organizational change management and problem-solving tools.
• Ability to safeguard personnel and property, and to respond to emergencies.
• Decision-making skills, teamwork, and crisis management knowledge.

Minimum Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• Ability to pass physical, psychological, and drug tests.
• Valid driver’s license; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work Details

Shift: Rotating shifts; location: 1015 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.
