Jefferson Landing in Jefferson, NC is seeking an Equipment Manager to lead the maintenance program for all golf course equipment and to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will diagnose, repair, and service diesel, gas, and turf maintenance gear; maintain records; and supervise technicians while promoting a positive team environment. The role emphasizes communication with staff and management, training of equipment operators, and maintaining a clean, organized shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Shop Manager/Head Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of turf equipment.
• Ability to perform high level repairs.
• Positive interaction with co-workers and management.

Responsabilités

• Implement and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program for all golf course equipment
• Diagnose and repair diesel, gas, and turf maintenance equipment
• Maintain detailed service records for parts, repairs, and labor
• Conduct reel grinding, blade sharpening, and equipment adjustments to ensure peak performance
• Spot check equipment on the course to ensure optimal height of cut and operational efficiency
• Ability to supervise and teach technicians.
• Purchase repair parts and maintains shop supplies
• Help with training of equipment operators
• Good communication skills with employees and management
• Good personality and ability to constructively guide staff with suggestions.

Jefferson Landing in Jefferson, NC seeks Equipment Manager

Jefferson Landing, an award-winning golf course nestled in the beautiful Blue RidgeMountains and High Country of North Carolina. The resort community includes an impeccably manicured 18-hole golf course. 7 short course holes and a Himalayas green.

The Equipment Manager is responsible for a comprehensive and preventative maintenance program. The Equipment Manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Superintendent. The Equipment Manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and the maintenance building.
