Jefferson's in-house temp service, JeffTemps, is seeking multiple Patient Registrars to support our Center City Outpatient Practices.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Job Description

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally handling arrival and departure activities related to visits. They obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures, verify insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA supports the Jefferson Experience by ensuring prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors, maintaining an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.

• Processes check-in and check-out, point of service activities, and schedules patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains smooth practice flow and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts professionally with patients/visitors in person and on the phone.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred.
