Job Details

Jefferson’s in-house temp service, JeffTemps, is seeking multiple Patient Registrars to support our Center City Outpatient Practices.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Job Description

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally managing arrival and departure activities related to visits to the practice/department. Responsibilities include obtaining pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures, verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA supports the Jefferson Experience by ensuring prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors, facilitating an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms.

  • Processes check-in and check-out, point of service activities, and schedules patient appointments via EPIC.
  • Obtains pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for procedures.
  • Maintains efficient practice flow and escalates concerns as appropriate.
  • Greets and interacts professionally with patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
  • Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and complies with all applicable regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred.
