Job Details

JeffTemps, Jefferson's in-house temporary service, is seeking qualified MRI Technologists to fill various temporary positions. Under the supervision of a radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures to produce detailed tissue images for diagnosis, prepares information for physicians, and provides patient care and education before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff, reflecting Jefferson's values.
• Evaluate the technical quality of images (density, contrast, definition, distortion).
• Maintain patient and equipment positioning during contrast media flow to ensure safety and examination success.
• Instruct patients on body positioning and explain procedures before and after scanning, answering questions effectively.
• Determine equipment needs based on physicians' tentative diagnoses and scout films.
• Perform scheduled cleaning, testing, and maintenance of MRI equipment; report malfunctions.
• Follow MRI safety guidelines during procedures.
• Perform additional duties related to quality assurance as directed by supervisors.
