We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Real Estate/Property Management processes. The ideal candidate understands both core financials and the JDE Real Estate Management suite (leases, units/properties, billings, escalations), and can translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable JDE solutions.
You’ll partner with Finance, Property/Asset Management, and IT to deliver enhancements, project rollouts, and support for JDE E1 (preferably 9.2+), leveraging best practices, Orchestrator, and UDOs to drive automation, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead fit-gap, process design, and configuration across AR, AP, GL, and Real Estate/Property Management (RE) modules.
- Own end-to-end solutioning for leases (commercial/residential), recurring billings, percentage rent, rent escalations/step rents, CAM/operating expense recoveries, utility billing, security deposits, and lease abstracts.
- Configure core finance: chart of accounts, AAIs, allocation and intercompany rules, currency/ledger types, bank accounts, AP/AR aging, payment terms, payment groups, and tax.
- Design month-end close processes: journal entries (ZJDE), reconciliations, bank rec, subledger/GL tie-outs, trial balance, and financial statements.
- Integrate RE module with AR/AP/GL, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, expense allocations, and unit/property/tenant hierarchies.
- Implement/optimize 3-way match, vendor onboarding, EDI touchpoints, and cash application (lockbox, remittance processing).
- Support lease accounting compliance workflows (e.g., ASC 842 / IFRS 16) via process, integrations, or external tools.
- Deliver Orchestrator automations (e.g., mass updates, data validations, inbound/outbound APIs), CafeOne dashboards, and UDO-based UX.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Run workshops, define BRDs/FRDs, write functional specs, and collaborate with technical teams on RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Plan and execute SIT/UAT, training, and cutover; create SOPs and end-user guides.
- Support production: triage issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement backlogs.
Data, Controls & Reporting
- Own data conversion strategy for tenants, leases, vendors, COA, opening balances.
- Define and enforce controls: approvals, segregation of duties, data governance, audit trails.
- Collaborate on reporting via One View Reporting, UBEs, BI Publisher; collaborate with BI for analytic datasets.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years as a JDE E1 Functional Consultant with strong hands-on AR/AP/GL.
- 3–5+ years with JDE Real Estate/Property Management (leases, billings, escalations, recoveries).
- Demonstrated experience on JDE E1 9.1/9.2; understanding of AAIs, UDCs, processing options, versions, UBE performance, security/roles.
- Proven delivery across fit-gap, configuration, testing, training, and production support.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP financial processes, month/quarter/year-end close, and tax basics (sales/use, withholding, 1099).
- Familiarity with Orchestrator, CafeOne, Form Extensions, Personalized Forms, Watchlists.
- Excellent communication; able to translate between Finance/Property stakeholders and technical teams.
