Peak Industrial Company is seeking a Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician to service and repair heavy equipment across our Montana operations. The role requires diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems, maintaining accurate service and inspection reports, and coordinating with shop staff to ensure timely repairs.

You will work with brands like JCB, Bobcat, John Deere, Case, CAT, Kubota, and more, with opportunities for growth and cross-brand experience in a family-owned business.

Qualificações

• Experience delivering repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment is required.
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose hydraulic/electrical/diesel systems.
• Strong attention to safety and documentation practices.
• Willingness to learn company policies and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Repairs heavy equipment engine and components.
• Read schematics (electrical and hydraulic).
• Prepare inspection and appraisal reports.
• Charge work correctly to the proper work order segments.
• Submit accurate service reports on time.
• Communicate with Service Writer or Shop Manager to ensure issues and repairs are understood.
• Inspect, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Disassemble/assemble/install components and parts.
• Order replacement parts with accurate part numbers.
• Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions with minimal supervision.
• Stay up-to-date with tooling and technology developments.
• Follow safe working practices and company safety requirements.
• On-call rotation as needed.
• Contribute to department efficiency and development.
• Assist with truck and trailer repair for other brands; training available.

Job Title:

Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician

Responsibilities:

• Repairs heavy equipment engine and components
• Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports
• Correctly charges work to appropriate work order segments
• Prepares accurate and complete service reports and turns them in on time
• Communicates effectively with Service Writer, and/or Shop Manager to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components
• Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts
• Orders replacement parts, ensurin that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of order
• Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components
• Diagnoses and Repairs machine and engine malfunctions and failures
• Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems
• Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements
• Works on rotating on call schedule as needed
• Always considers updates and developments to ensure ongoing efficiencies and development of the department
• Assists with truck and trailer repair jobs for our other company brands as needed - training can be provided
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience performing repairs on JCB, Bobcat, John Deere, Case, CAT, Kubota or other construction/agricultural equipment
• Strong skills in hydraulics, electrical, and diesel mechanics
• Experience with truck and trailer repair highly preferred
• Team-oriented and committed to quality work
• Ability to learn company policies and procedures and complete documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex issues w/ little to no supervision
• Own common tools for repairing equipment and provide tool inventory for insurance coverage
• Maintain Valid driver's license with a clean MVR & obtain DOT Medical Card (to drive CMV)
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug-screen
