Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Deputy Production Program Manager for the Javelin LWCLU portfolio. You will report to the LWCLU Production PM and support multiple LWCLU production contracts, guiding execution across proposal development, startup, and closeout while coordinating with Army customers and Lockheed Martin.

The role entails leading PMT discussions, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and AOP commitments, and interfacing with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
  • Experience supporting transition to production, production acceleration, development or sustainment programs.
  • Program Management certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with EAC process and risk & opportunity management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Management Team in execution of production contracts to ensure cost, schedule, and AOP commitments.
  • Facilitate daily PMT and Core Control Room meetings; drive cadence and alignment on priorities.
  • Collaborate with business teams on EACs, labor/material forecasts, and progress to AOP.
  • Participate in internal reviews and executive briefings on pursuits, proposals, negotiations and definitization.
  • Travel domestically as needed.

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to be the Deputy Production Program Manager within the Javelin Weapon System portfolio. You will report to the Javelin Weapon System Lightweight Command Launch Unit (LWCLU) Production Program Manager and support multiple LWCLU production contracts.

The LWCLU is currently completing its first low-rate initial production/transition to production builds and will immediately be transitioning to full-rate production to support the high level of demand for this product. You will work closely with, and influence IPTs, functional partners, and our Army customer to ensure alignment and consistency through execution of the various production contracts. You will work through and support various stages of program execution including proposal development, contract startup, program execution and contract closeout. In addition to the internal responsibilities, you will also interact with both the U.S. government customer, as well as our Joint Venture partner Lockheed Martin on various topics to include technical interchange meetings, production status and business growth.

What You Will Do
  • Support the Program Management Team (PMT) and related functional organizations in execution of production contracts to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and AOP commitments
  • Facilitate in person daily PMT and Core Control Room meetings. Drive program cadence to ensure the team is aligned regarding priorities, issues and assistance needed
  • Close interaction with business team on efficient execution of the EAC’s, performance to labor and material forecast as well as progress to meeting AOP
  • Participate in internal reviews and support executive briefings pertaining to all pursuits to include: EAC’s, Gate approvals, contract proposals, negotiation and definitization efforts
  • Expected to support domestic travel as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience supporting transition to production, production acceleration, development, and/or sustainment programs
  • Program Management certification, or equivalent
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams
  • Experience with EAC process and risk and opportunity management
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Strong business sense to proactively identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Demonstrated program execution experience managing program staffing, assignments and resources
  • Effective communication skills, leadership, presentation skills, and comfortably interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with the RMD Program Management tool suite or similar program management systems
  • Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, management, and/or closeout

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
