Rate: $55/hr W2, C2C, 1099 (All inclusive / no benefits)

Job Description

We are modernizing our internal productivity and scheduling applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in rebuilding and replacing our legacy ColdFusion applications, contributing directly to improving workflow and efficiency on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand existing application functionalities and gather requirements for new applications.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy web-based productivity and scheduling applications.
• Develop and integrate with back-end APIs, databases, and services.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
• Assist in migrating data and functionality from ColdFusion applications.
• Contribute to technical documentation for solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance during the contract period.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience with asynchronous programming and APIs (RESTful, etc.).
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively as a contractor.

Desired (Beneficial)

• Familiarity with ColdFusion or willingness to learn existing applications.
• Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL).
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
• Knowledge of web security best practices.
