Job summary

A leading technology company based in Houston is seeking a skilled Java / J2EE Developer with extensive experience in Microservices and web applications. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in related technologies, including performance engineering and design. This full-time permanent position requires collaboration within a consulting environment that may involve travel. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Java / J2EE and related technologies, including Springs framework and JSP.
• Experience in web services development using SOAP / REST.
• Strong hands-on development experience on Microservices stack and CI / CD.
• Experience and ability to support design and deployment phases of Microservices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to assess client pain points.
• Define new architectures and drive independent projects from an architectural standpoint.

Job Description

• At least 7 years of experience in Java / J2EE, Springs framework, JSP, Junit, Jenkins.
• At least 7 years of experience in web services development using SOAP / REST.
• At least 2 years of strong hands‑on development experience on Micro‑services stack and CI / CD.
• At least 3 years of experience in working for US Cable MSO IT systems.
• At least 3 years of experience and ability to support Assessment phase and evaluate Design, Code, build / deployments etc relating to Microservices.
• At least 5 years of experience in design, development and deployment of web applications in Tomcat, Weblogic.
• At least 3 years of experience in JDBC / Hibernate / iBatis, caching techniques.
• At least 3 years of experience in performance engineering, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint.
• At least 3 years of experience in thought leadership, white papers and leadership/mentoring of staff and internal consulting teams.
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.
• Collaborate with the team to focus and direct the assessment on client’s pain points.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
