Job summary

Galent is seeking an experienced Java Developer in Charlotte to design, develop, and support enterprise content management and backend apps. The candidate will work with IBM FileNet P8 CE/PE, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware to build scalable integrations.

The role requires hands-on Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and experience with WebSphere/WebLogic, MQ or Kafka, and SQL databases. You will collaborate with analysts, QA, and other teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Java/J2EE development experience.
• Experience with IBM FileNet P8 and FileNet CE/PE.
• Strong REST/SOAP API and middleware integration knowledge.
• Proficiency with Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA).
• Experience deploying on IBM WebSphere/WebLogic and messaging platforms (MQ/Kafka).

Job description

• We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with IBM FileNet and Middleware expertise to design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise content management and backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with Java, IBM FileNet P8, middleware technologies, REST/SOAP APIs, and enterprise application integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Develop and customize solutions using IBM FileNet P8, Content Engine, Process Engine, and related FileNet components.
• Build and integrate REST and SOAP web services for communication between enterprise applications.
• Develop middleware integrations between FileNet and downstream/upstream applications.
• Work with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and other Java frameworks.
• Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend integration components.
• Configure and support IBM WebSphere / WebLogic application servers.
• Work with messaging and middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka, or similar platforms.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other development teams.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, and deployment activities.
• Follow enterprise security, coding, and development standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java/J2EE development
