Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Java developer to join an IT team enhancing data utilization for a large state-run project. You will aggregate data from multiple sources and design plans for collection, processing, storage, and reporting using Java Server Faces.

The role emphasizes expert Java coding, web applications, and collaboration with business analysts, developers, and QA to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java web applications experience with the JSF framework.
• 5+ years in Java web UI design with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 3+ years integrating Java apps with SQL using Hibernate.
• 3+ years SQL relational DB design and coding.
• 5+ years of software development in team and independent settings.
• Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs.
• Provide work estimates to project manager, provide frequent status updates and track progress against the project work plan.
• Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes.
• Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in Java.
• Integrate individual software solutions to higher level systems.
• Use web-based tools to create and advance applications.
• Test code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and debug when necessary.
• Collaborate with business, development, and QA teams to develop testing and acceptance procedures.
• Perform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficient.
• Collaborate with business analyst to provide training, knowledge transfer, and documentation for user support.
