Job summary

CGS is seeking a Java developer/programmer to join a team working on a large state-run project. You will aggregate data from several sources and prepare plans for how this data can be collected, processed, stored, and reported.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of large-scale enterprise systems and have expert knowledge of Java coding and web applications including Java Server Faces Framework.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience developing Java web apps using JSF
• 5 years experience in Java web UI design with HTML/CSS/JS
• 3 years integrating Java apps with SQL via Hibernate
• 3 years SQL relational design and coding
• 5 years software development in team and independent work
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle time-sensitive deadlines

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and developers to produce software designs
• Provide estimates to project manager and track progress
• Formulate program specifications and prototypes
• Translate designs into high functioning code
• Integrate software solutions into higher level systems
• Use web-based tools to create and advance applications
• Test code and debug to ensure desirable results
• Collaborate across teams on testing and acceptance
• Upgrade software for security and efficiency
• Provide training and knowledge transfer for user support
