Job summary

Rapinno Tech is seeking a capable Java developer in Chicago to join our engineering team. The candidate will work on high-performance distributed systems and data pipelines, implementing Java 8+ features and modern tooling.

You should have hands-on experience with Flink or Spark, Kafka/Kafka Streams, and cloud migrations, plus a BS in computer science and a strong problem-solving mindset. This is a hybrid role with onsite presence 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong Java development experience with Java 8+.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and messaging systems.

Job description

• Hybrid: Must be able to sit onsite 3x per week (remote possible but not a preference)
• Java 8+ experience in development (functional and programming must be this version)
• Experience with high speed distributed computing frameworks like FLINK (preferred), Apache Spark, Kafka Streams, FLUME etc.
• Experience with distributed message brokers Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, etc. Kafka preferred.
• Experience with cloud technologies and migrations
• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field required.
