Citi in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to evolve our Cross Functional Reference Data Foundation in Prime Services. You will design, develop, and maintain Java-based distributed applications using Spring, Microservices, SQL, and Linux, within an agile, globally distributed team.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of systems analysis and coding experience, strong TDD practices, and the ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java with hands-on coding skills and deep experience with TDD, Spring, and Microservices.
• Solid SQL and Stored Procedures knowledge. Linux experience. Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, and Gemfire is a plus.
• Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using Java, Spring, and Microservices.
• Conduct thorough systems analysis and programming to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to define solutions and deliver integrated projects.
• Contribute to maintenance and evolution of existing platforms for stability and scalability.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle following agile principles.
