Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Java Solutions Architect for a hybrid role in Pennington, NJ. The position focuses on defining functional and technical architectural solutions for core data applications in a global wealth management tech group.

You will lead architecture, governance, and standards and work closely with architects, analysts, and developers. Requirements include 10+ years of experience, expertise in backend integration, API design, and SOA/microservices

Java Solutions Architect

Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

• Charlotte, NC or Pennington NJ

$70-73/hour W2

We cannot sponsor; Not available 1099 or C2C.

12-18 month contract

Top 3 Skills:

• 1. Proficient experience in database design and Integration (Oracle, DB2, etc)
• 2. Web Service / API Design and Architecture (JAVA, Mule, etc)
• 3. Backend systems integration experience

Position Summary:

Seasoned hands on Solution & Systems Architect to lead the efforts for defining the functional & technical architectural solutions for core customer/account reference data applications in the Consumer and Global Wealth Management technology group. Accountable for systems design, technical architecture, strategy and technical standards and governance. The individual should have the aptitude to understand the business process, work in a team environment with other architects, business analysts and developers

Other Required Skills:

• Experience in defining architecture for backend system / application integration
• Experience in SOA Design patterns for building middleware systems and Messaging.
• Experience with API driven architecture and microservices.
• Strong knowledge in applying patterns while designing such as Object Oriented, Integration, and application design patterns.
• Experience with UML diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly communicate business problem and solutions to management
• Self motivated and able to take initiative and make things happen
• Self managed and able to be accountable for deliverables
