Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a hands-on Java Solutions Architect to define and lead architectural efforts for core customer data applications in the Consumer and Global Wealth Management tech group. The role blends business understanding with technical strategy and governance, requiring collaboration with architects, analysts and developers.

The position is hybrid (onsite 3 days/week) with options in Charlotte, NC or Pennington, NJ.

Qualifications

• Experience defining architecture for backend system integration.
• SOA design patterns for middleware systems and messaging.
• API-driven architecture and microservices experience.
• Strong knowledge of OO design, integration and application design patterns.
• Experience with UML diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey business problems and solutions.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative and deliver.

Java Solutions Architect

$70-73/hour W2

12-18 month contract

Top 3 Skills:

• Proficient experience in database design and Integration (Oracle, DB2, etc)
• Web Service / API Design and Architecture (JAVA, Mule, etc)
• Backend systems integration experience

• 10+ years experience

Position Summary:

Seasoned hands on Solution & Systems Architect to lead the efforts for defining the functional & technical architectural solutions for core customer/account reference data applications in the Consumer and Global Wealth Management technology group. Accountable for systems design, technical architecture, strategy and technical standards and governance. The individual should have the aptitude to understand the business process, work in a team environment with other architects, business analysts and developers

Other Required Skills:

• Experience in defining architecture for backend system / application integration
• Experience in SOA Design patterns for building middleware systems and Messaging.
• Experience with API driven architecture and microservices.
• Strong knowledge in applying patterns while designing such as Object Oriented, Integration, and application design patterns.
• Experience in UML diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly communicate business problem and solutions to management
• Self motivated and able to take initiative and make things happen
• Self managed and able to be accountable for deliverables
