Job summary

Publicis Sapient in Boston is seeking a Java Architect to lead design, development, and implementation of scalable microservices and high-frequency trading‑level solutions. You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and partner with product and analysts to translate requirements into robust architectures, with a focus on performance and security.

The role requires Core Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, Redis, and CI/CD experience, along with a track record of delivering enterprise-scale data

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Core Java (v17+), multi-threading, and the Java Memory Model.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with high-performance messaging like Kafka, Solace, or Aeron.
• Proficiency in Redis and Hazelcast, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Proven AWS experience, Linux/Unix.
• Ability to lead architectural discussions.
• Experience with AI pair-programmers (GitHub Copilot/Claude Code).
• Testing and CI/CD with TDD/BDD and Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of distributed microservices in Java/SpringBoot.
• Tune performance, GC optimization, and memory management for sub-millisecond speeds.
• Design Safe Trading protocols and pre-trade checks.
• Architect and deploy in AWS.
• Collaborate with product and analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage timelines and resources; align with SDLC and DevOps.
