Job summary

Publicis Sapient seeks a Java Architect to lead design, development, and implementation of scalable microservices for high-frequency trading. You will mentor engineers, set coding standards, and drive performance optimization across distributed systems in an AWS-based environment.

You will collaborate with Product, BI, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient delivery with modern DevOps practices and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Core Java (v17+ preferred) with advanced multi-threading and memory model.
• Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• High-performance messaging with Kafka/Solace/Aeron.
• Low-latency data stores (Redis/Hazelcast) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• AWS services, Linux/Unix experience.
• Lead technical solution design and architecture discussions.
• AI pair-programmers and engineering assistants to optimize workflow.
• TDD/BDD and automated pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Provide hands-on guidance across architecture, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Drive coding standards, performance optimization, and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce quality and security.
• Lead adoption of Generative AI tools.
• Design and implement distributed microservices in Java/Spring Boot for high-frequency trading.
• Ensure CI/CD, DevOps alignment, and SDLC processes.
