Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Java Software Engineer to support a Government Consulting company located in Herndon, VA, through 100% onsite work. The Java Software Engineer will provide Agile DevOps support for mission‑critical systems while developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise software, cloud environments, and operational tools.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining software systems, supporting the full software development lifecycle, and delivering DevOps

Qualifications

• Experience with Java software development.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and methodologies.
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Background working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Active TS/SCI clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Poly.

• Understanding of security best practices (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing)

Compensation:

• Salary: Up to $200,000, (some flexibility depending on experience)

• Clearance Level: Must be eligible to work in the United States and maintain an Active TS/SCI security clearance
