Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. is hiring a Java-focused backend developer in the United States (North Carolina) to build scalable web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, and Kafka.

The role includes implementing AI features with Spring AI and LangChain4j, contributing to RAG pipelines, and owning the full development lifecycle within an Agile Scrum team. Experience with React.js, Maven, and related tech is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Basic programming skills using object-oriented languages with knowledge of common APIs and data structures (Collections, Maps, Lists).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable web applications using Java 8/17, Spring Boot, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka.
• Write clean and efficient code with maintainability and reusability in mind.
• Conduct testing to ensure application reliability and performance.
• Perform code reviews for quality and consistency.
• Own full development lifecycle in an Agile Scrum team from planning to optimization.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and APIs.
• Deploy to production with APIs, observability, cost/performance optimization, CI/CD, and security best practices.
