Job summary

BeaconFire Inc is seeking a Java-focused software engineer to join a Scrum team in New Jersey. You will own parts of the development lifecycle from planning to deployment, review code for quality and security, and contribute to API design, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will also implement AI integration using Spring AI and LangChain4j for RAG-based applications, work with relational databases, and stay current with modern Java technologies while delivering well-documented, scalable

Qualifications

Understanding of the software development life cycle.
Proficiency in Java with knowledge of common APIs and data structures.
Experience with relational databases and SQL basics.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.

Responsibilities

Perform code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
Participate in Agile Scrum team and own the full development lifecycle.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications, APIs, and deployment procedures.
Ship to production: APIs, monitoring/observability, CI/CD, and security best practices.
Stay up to date with the latest technologies for Java development.
