Job summary

Securian Financial Group in the United States is seeking a Java Developer to contribute to Institutional Retirement technology, focusing on Pension Risk Transfer and related products. The role operates in a hybrid Scrum team using Java, Spring, SQL Server and AWS.

You will participate in analysis, design, development, testing, and support with Level 3 on-call rotation, collaborating with stakeholders and expanding knowledge of AI Software Development within Securian’s SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Java and related languages.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Solve problems with a test-and-learn mindset.
• Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.
• Provide Level 3 support off-hours through a team rotation.
• Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration and implementation of low to medium complexity internal integrations.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of AI software development concepts within SDLC.
