Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems LLC in Patuxent River, MD is seeking a Software Developer for on-site work supporting PMA290 SSA. You will contribute to JAVA-based applications, Linux deployments, and microservice tooling in a secure environment.

Candidates should have 2-5 years in software development, experience with JAVA, Linux, Docker, and a path to an active Secret clearance. A Bachelor's degree is required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Information Systems or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of software developer experience with JAVA applications.
• 2–5 years deploying code in Linux environments (RHEL preferred).
• 0–2 years creating containerized microservice applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing JAVA applications for large enterprise TOMS or smaller microservice ABA apps.
• Support deployment and integration in RHEL environments with Linux CLI knowledge.
• Understand containerized apps and hypervisors for ABA hosting.
• Create scripting solutions and standalone apps to address SSA requests.
• Assist in Agile development and remove impediments to meet sprints and deliverables.
• Contribute to design and architecture for PEO C4I SW/HW baselines.
