Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Developer to join a collaborative team supporting National Defense programs. The role is on-site Monday through Friday in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA, or Aurora, CO, requiring a TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and Security+ certification.

You will develop in Java with SpringBoot, leverage Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for deployments, and work with tools like Gitlab and Jira. The ideal candidate will optimize applications for speed and scalability, troubleshoot issues, and

Qualifications

• Clearance: TS/SCI CI Polygraph.
• On-site support Monday - Friday in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO.
• Security+ certification required.
• Experience in Java development with SpringBoot, Mockito, Lombok, OpenAPI (Swagger) and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java.
• Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts for deployments.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
