Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Java developer to support two programs within a structured Agile team. You will work on in-office delivery cycles, focusing on production issues, performance tuning, and refactoring legacy components to improve reliability.

Candidates must have 5+ years of Java experience, strong RESTful API and microservices background, and a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Proficiency with Git workflows (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket) and SOLID/OOD practices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent with senior level experience.
• 5+ years professional Java development experience.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Git workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Proven Agile practitioner with SOlID design principles.

Requirements

• Level 5: Bachelor’s degree in science with 12+ years of software development experience; 10+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• 5+ years professional Java development experience.
• Firm understanding of version control using Git and workflows on platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Demonstrated success with Agile processes.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
