Job summary

Tokio Marine North America Services (TMNAS) is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer I to contribute to the development, configuration, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications using Java and related technologies. This role targets new graduates or early-career developers eager to learn, grow fundamentals, and support TMNAS and TM Group companies.

You will work with mentors to design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based solutions, following SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or expected by start date.
• 0–2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java and web development.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with source control like Git.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, development, configuration, and maintenance of Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, business analysts, QA, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Develop, test, and debug application components using Java and web technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and team learning sessions to improve engineering skills.
• Write and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Support troubleshooting, defect resolution, and application maintenance under supervision.
