Job summary

ASRC Federal Advanced Research LLC (AFAR) is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Second Level Engineering team supporting FAA. This on-site role is at the William J Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, with relocation consideration to commutable distance.

Candidate must have US citizenship or equivalent and 3–6 years of experience in core Java environments, Spring Boot, and containerization. NAS experience is preferred, with DevOps tooling and Linux skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT fields; or substitute with 30 sem hours in math/stat/CS plus qualifications.
• Three to six years of experience required.
• NAS experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Edit, develop, adjust existing Java code base.
• Manage applications in a Linux environment.
• Develop automation code in bash, Ansible, or GitLab.
• Convert Java middleware application code in VM to containerized code.
• Support software deployment and operation teams.
