Mastercard is seeking a highly motivated Java Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable payment solutions. You will work on cloud-native platforms within an Agile team, focusing on Java, Ruby, and AWS technologies to deliver secure, reliable, and performant software.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on Java with Spring Boot experience, knowledge of Ruby, and a passion for automation, observability, and operational excellence.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of Ruby and Ruby-based applications.
• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, SNS/SQS).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and services supporting Mastercard products and platforms.
• Own software delivery activities at the application and component level, including development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues across development, test, and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices, secure coding standards, and software craftsmanship.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, SREs, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver business value.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using modern DevOps practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability capabilities to ensure operational excellence.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response activities when required.
• Continuously improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
• Adopt new technologies, programming languages, and architecture patterns as required by business needs.
