Job Description

Our client, one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners for data services, is looking for Jr to Senior level SDETs to contribute to their team of technologists building large-scale, innovative projects. The SDET's responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks, focusing on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. An SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to aid manual testing processes.

To be successful as an SDET, you should have excellent time management, organizational skills, and strong communication skills. A passion for designing, development, and testing, along with the ability to upgrade your technical skills in a constantly evolving technology sector, is essential.

- This role is only available for W2 or 1099 individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding code flow and interactions with different components.
• Interpreting project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
• Setting up, maintaining, and executing test automation frameworks across multiple platforms (Mobile, Desktop, Web), and developing test scenarios and acceptance tests.
• Investigating customer-reported issues, testing bugs, and managing bug reports.
• Handling technical communications and understanding customer systems.
• Collaborating with deployment teams, resolving system issues, coordinating on product design, and providing input on testability of features and designs.
• Documenting testing activities in daily and weekly reports.
• Analyzing and disintegrating software systems, coordinating with teams to improve design.
• Researching test tools, methodologies, trends, and upgrading practices.
• Managing the final quality of production releases.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in the IT industry.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• AWS experience is a significant plus.
• SQL skills for feature testing and core application functionalities.
• Back-end/Data testing experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of JavaScript for UI test maintenance.
• Selenium experience for UI automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent design and programming skills.
• Knowledge of programming and process management methodologies.
• Familiarity with test methodologies and tools.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
