Job summary

Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) seeks a Java/React Developer to collaborate with the project manager, application owner, and resource manager on an agile team to organize, develop, test, and deploy code. The role focuses on building modern, responsive UIs with React and integrating with backend Java services.

Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite days. We can accept H1b, H4, TN and other valid work visas for IT. However we cannot accept OPT or CPT visas at this time.

Our client is seeking a Java/React Developer to collaborate the project manager, application owner, and resource manager, working on an agile development team to organize work, develop, test, and deploy code.

Tasks:

• Performs a variety of complex tasks and may report directly to a project lead or manager.
• Works closely with UI/UX team members to build modern, responsive user interfaces using React.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Strong communication skills, teamwork, self-direction, commitment, and quick learning are essential.

Skills Required

• 7 years Programming complex systems using current Java and development tools such as Eclipse/JBoss Developer Studio
• 4 years Programming with Java 8
• 5 years Development using the current Spring Framework
• 5 years Development with JPA/Hibernate
• 4 years Programming with Oracle 12C or Oracle 19C
• 4 years Development using React.js for building responsive user interfaces -
• 4 years Programming in the JBoss Enterprise environment
• Frontend development experience with a strong focus on meeting WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (or higher).
• 4 years JUnit, Tiles
• 4 years Reporting tools such as Jasper Reports
