The Virginia Dept of Social Services (DSS) is seeking a Java/JEE developer who has worked in WebSphere and Oracle to upgrade applications from WebSphere 8.5.5 and remove IE11 settings. This hybrid position requires 2‑3 days on‑site. The candidate should be proficient in JSP, JavaScript, Struts 1.x and 2.x, EJB and JPA and able to develop user stories and fix Veracode flaws reported by Static Code Analysis (SAST).

Required skills and experience

• 8 years of experience in Java 8/17, J2EE 6, Maven and JavaScript
• 5 years of experience in GitHub, Apache Log4j2, web‑browser debugging and OWASP/SAST tools usage
