Job summary

A woman-owned IT service provider is seeking a UI/UX Developer to modernize their flagship cloud-hosted application, transitioning from a desktop version to a web-based application. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge in Visual Studio .Net, ASP.Net, and have experience with SQL queries among other crucial skills. This role is onsite in Hanover and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. US Citizenship or Green Card holders only, local candidates in the Greater Richmond Area are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of systems development and design using Visual Studio .Net.
• Experience in developing ASP.Net, Web Services and Web applications.
• Strong experience with WinForms and WPF Forms.

Responsibilities

• Modernize the flagship cloud-hosted application BADGE.
• Understand the code in the current desktop application for migration.
• Work closely with lead developers on assigned modules.

Dept of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking a UI/UX Developer to serve their Hanover office. This position is onsite 5 days a week. Agency will be modernizing the flagship cloud hosted (OCI) application BADGE from the current desktop version to a web-based version. Ideal candidate will need to be able to understand the code in the current desktop application to migrate to the new Web based application. Also, ideal candidate will be working closely with our lead developers to take ownership of a given module and provide guidance to the other contractors.

Required skills and experience

• Expert knowledge of systems development and design using Visual Studio .Net
• Expert knowledge in developing ASP.Net, Web Services and Web applications in .Net
• Expert knowledge of .Net technologies (Visual Basic, C#, .Net Framework)
• Experience working with WinForms / WPF Forms
• Experience working with TFS / GIT Source Control
• Experience working with RDBMS and writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with Oracle and PL/SQL preferred
