Job summary

mthree seeks a highly motivated Full-Stack or Back-End Java Engineer to design, develop, and modernize distributed systems used in global post-trade operations within a financial services setting.

You will collaborate with product, operations, and architecture teams to deliver scalable microservices with Java, Spring Boot, CI/CD, and cloud adoption, while ensuring quality and performance through Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot for RESTful services.
• Experience with relational databases and messaging (Kafka/MQ).
• Strong collaboration in Agile teams and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Implement high-quality, scalable APIs and event-driven components supporting Asset Servicing workflows.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, containerization, and migration from legacy platforms.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer reviews, and production support rotations as needed.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize services for reliability, throughput, and latency.
• Maintain strong documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team.
