Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Software Engineer for an Integrations team building and scaling mission-critical systems linking a public safety platform with 911-related tools. You will design and implement integration workflows using Java/Spring Boot and deliver reliable API integrations.

The role focuses on backend integrations, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions, with emphasis on clean, well-tested code and strong collaboration across engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java and the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and building integrations with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with database technologies and proficiency with SQL.
• Experience with automated testing and Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations between the platform and third-party client systems.
• Develop integration workflows using modern integration platforms and custom services with Java.
• Enhance RMS, CAD, and Booking products with scalable integration capabilities.
• Design secure, reusable, cloud-based integration solutions.
• Write tests, debug production issues, and improve system quality and reliability.
• Contribute to technical documentation and automated build and deployment processes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute through a pull request-based development process.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to deliver robust integration solutions.
