Jobgether is seeking a Java Gen AI Engineer to join a partner-driven initiative focused on generative AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows. The role emphasizes practical AI development, cloud integrations, and scalable AI solutions across global teams.

You will work with distributed engineers to ship AI-enabled applications and web interfaces, driving performance, security, and real-world impact across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year hands-on AI engineering experience with LLMs or AI systems and strong Java skills.
• Experience building and deploying real-world AI solutions beyond theory.
• Familiarity with modern AI trends, frameworks, and practical Generative AI techniques.
• Experience designing interoperable AI-enabled solutions with enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and securing AI data pipelines.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Java Gen AI Engineer based in Greece.

This role offers an opportunity to combine strong Java engineering expertise with hands-on Generative AI development.
You will design and implement practical, production-ready AI solutions aligned with business and executive priorities.
The position focuses on agentic workflows, AI application integration, and performance engineering in an evolving technology landscape.
You will collaborate with stakeholders and distributed engineering teams to accelerate AI adoption and expand internal capabilities.
The role also provides exposure to cloud platforms, enterprise-scale AI initiatives, data pipelines, and AI-enabled user experiences.
Success requires a hands-on mindset, technical curiosity, and the ability to turn emerging AI concepts into reliable solutions.

Accountabilities

• Design and implement AI-driven solutions that address business and executive priorities while integrating effectively with existing applications and systems.
• Translate Generative AI concepts, emerging technologies, and agentic approaches into practical, scalable, production-ready implementations.
• Develop AI engineering solutions involving LLMs, AI tools, applied AI systems, and intelligent workflows.
• Contribute to agentic workflows and performance engineering frameworks that improve the scalability and effectiveness of AI applications.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and distributed or offshore engineering teams to deliver AI initiatives and resolve technical challenges.
• Help identify gaps in AI expertise and contribute to knowledge sharing, technical enablement, and the development of scalable internal capabilities.
• Support AI-enabled web and UI implementations using tools such as Open WebUI or comparable frameworks where appropriate.
• Integrate AI services with cloud environments and existing enterprise applications, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Contribute to enterprise-scale AI projects and data pipelines while applying appropriate security and engineering practices.
• Stay current with developments across Generative AI, agentic systems, AI frameworks, and related technologies, identifying opportunities to improve existing solutions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in AI engineering, including LLMs, AI tools, or applied AI systems, combined with strong Java engineering capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying real-world AI solutions rather than focusing solely on theoretical concepts.
• Strong understanding of modern AI trends, tools, frameworks, and practical Generative AI engineering techniques.
• Experience designing interoperable solutions that integrate AI capabilities with existing applications and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and experience integrating cloud-based AI services.
• Understanding of enterprise-scale AI projects, data pipelines, and security best practices for AI applications.
• Experience with AI-enabled web interfaces or UI frameworks, such as Open WebUI or similar technologies, is an advantage.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams and collaborating effectively across different time zones is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate with urgency in a fast-changing environment.
