Fidelity TalentSource is seeking a Senior Java Engineer with Test Automation to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on delivering high-quality software and testing capabilities in an agile setting with stakeholder collaboration.

You will drive end-to-end automation using Playwright with Java, integrate with Jenkins and Xray in CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior team members while contributing to production support.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Experience developing end-to-end functional automation test cases using Playwright with Java.
• Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Experience with Xray (Jira Test Management) for test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Strong SDLC understanding and quality engineering practices.
• Ability to work independently and drive solutions from analysis through implementation.
• Experience with complex technical and functional analysis, design, development, and testing.
• Knowledge of architecture principles and participation in design reviews.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Enhance process improvements and automation enhancements.
• Participate in production/application support and on-call rotation as required.

Java Engineer with Test Automation

The Role

Senior Java Engineer will be working in development and delivery of high quality, timely and maintainable software solutions and testing frameworks in an agile environment which meet functional and non-functional business requirements. This role will involve partner & stakeholder engagement, design and release support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience in Java application development.

• Experience developing end-to-end functional automation test cases using Playwright with Java.

• Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS preferred).

• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Experience working and integrating with Xray (Jira Test Management) for test planning, execution, and reporting.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and drive solutions from analysis through implementation.

• Experience performing complex technical and functional analysis, design, development, and testing activities.

• Knowledge of application architecture principles and participation in design/architecture reviews.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Trading / Order Management Systems (OMS) / Financial Services domain is a plus but not mandatory.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, API testing, and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated functional test frameworks and test suites using Playwright and Java.

• Build and implement end-to-end test scenarios across web applications.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

• Manage test execution, defect tracking, and reporting through Xray/Jira.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $83.00-$123.00 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
