Job summary

Belvedere Trading in Boulder, CO is seeking a software engineer to build a suite of tools using Java, Flink, and Pulsar to identify pricing inefficiencies in live trading markets. You will assist with hybrid cloud framework development and understand the full lifecycle of a trading platform, including observability and deployment.

You will interact with external platforms, share knowledge with teammates, and provide feedback to leadership on processes to boost productivity, tooling, and code

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/CE/EE
• 12 months of experience developing apps with Java or Kotlin and quantitative models
• Experience with live trading platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build a suite of software using Java, Flink, and Pulsar to identify pricing inefficiencies in live trading markets.
• Assist with development of in-house hybrid cloud application frameworks.
• Understand the full lifecycle of a trading platform, including observability and deployment.
• Interact with third-party hybrid cloud messaging, data, observability, and deployment platforms.
• Share ideas, experience, and knowledge with team members.
• Provide feedback to leadership on team health and processes to improve productivity, tooling, and code quality.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and firm leaders to plan work and design solutions.
• Propose architectural improvements to improve reliability, latency, and throughput.
• Plan and lead projects, breaking down and assigning work to engineers
