Innova Solutions is seeking a Java Engineer at Intermediate level for Columbus, OH on a contract-to-hire basis lasting 6+ months. The team is platform heavy requiring strong Java/Spring/Microservices/API/Kafka with scripting and AWS, plus solid database experience (DB2/SQL/Postgres).

Front-end exposure is a plus, with 5–7 years of experience preferred. You will work in an Agile environment, contributing to design, development, testing and deployment of scalable software.

We're Looking for a Java Engineer - Intermediate - Columbus, OH

Position type: Contract to Hire

Duration: 6+ Months

The group is platform heavy – Need good database + scripting

• Java/Spring/Microservices/API/Kafka + Scripting + AWS – MUST HAVE
• Need to have strong database experience (DB2, SQL, Postgres, etc)
• Need to have decent shell scripting, basic level
• Should be able to troubleshoot complex code without issue
• Previous JPMC experience is a HUGE plus
• Full stack is a plus but not required – 10% front end only
• 5-7 years experience Minimum.

Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques. Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks. Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery.
Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $ 50/hr.
