Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Java Engineer - Intermediate for Columbus, OH on a Contract to Hire basis. The role requires Java/Spring/Microservices/API/Kafka plus scripting and AWS experience.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of experience, strong DB experience (DB2, SQL, Postgres) and a solid grasp of Agile, CI/CD, TDD, and cloud development. 60% backend with up to 10% frontend; paid hourly with comprehensive benefits.

We're Looking for a Java Engineer - Intermediate - Columbus, OH

Position type: Contract to Hire

Duration: 6+ Months

• Java/Spring/Microservices/API/Kafka + Scripting + AWS - MUST HAVE
• Need to have strong database experience (DB2, SQL, Postgres, etc)
• Need to have decent shell scripting, basic level
• Should be able to troubleshoot complex code without issue
• Previous JPMC experience is a HUGE plus
• Full stack is a plus but not required - 10% front end only

5-7 years experience Minimum. Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques. Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks. Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery. Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $ 50/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
