Uni Systems is seeking a Java Engineer to join the UniQue Public Administration and Enterprise Projects team. You will develop Java-based solutions, collaborate with clients, and produce technical documentation while growing your skills in a supportive environment.

You will work in a hybrid model with a strong emphasis on teamwork, code quality, and continuous learning. A University degree in CS or related field is preferred, with 3+ years of software development experience including 2+ years

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with at least 2 years Java-based solutions.
• Good knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming and dependency injection.
• Good understanding of ORM frameworks, such as Hibernate or EclipseLink, and JPA.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services; SOAP is a plus.
• Good understanding of design patterns and software development best practices.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards, such as OAuth2 and JWT.
• Experience with code quality practices, automated testing and test coverage.
• A University/College degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsabilidades

• Work as part of a skilled development team on the analysis, design and implementation of Java-based solutions for our customers.
• Develop, maintain and enhance existing software applications, identifying areas for improvement and modification.
• Collaborate closely with client and internal teams to understand and implement business requirements.
• Produce and maintain technical and system documentation.
• Contribute to the technical analysis and implementation of solutions, working alongside more experienced team members when needed.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and troubleshooting, contributing to the overall quality of the delivered software.
• Actively collaborate with the team, share knowledge and continuously develop your technical skills.

For the Java Engineer position, we expect you to:

• Work as part of a skilled development team on the analysis, design and implementation of Java-based solutions for our customers

What do you need to succeed in this position?

We would like you to have:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years of hands‑on experience with Java-based solutions, such as Java EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot and Spring Data
• Good knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming and dependency injection
• Good understanding of ORM frameworks, such as Hibernate or EclipseLink, and JPA
• Hands‑on experience with RESTful web services; experience with SOAP will be considered a plus
• Good understanding of design patterns and software development best practices
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization standards, such as OAuth2 and JWT
• Experience with code quality practices, automated testing and test coverage
• Good knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle
• Experience with Java EE Application Servers, such as WebLogic or WildFly
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
• The ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a development team
• A passion for software development and continuous learning
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to maintain professionalism in a team environment
• A University/College degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

The following will be considered an asset:

• Experience with frontend development frameworks, such as React
• Familiarity with distributed and modular architectures
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with Enterprise Integration frameworks, such as Apache Camel
• Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD practices
• Experience with PL/SQL
