• IBM Open Liberty is a key differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements phase, create dev work packages, and drive solution design.
• Follow coding standards, perform design, code reviews, and development tasks.
• Provide support during QA, SIT, UAT, and production.
• Mentor/offshore team members as needed and review deliverables.
• Provide timely status updates to the client team.
• Assist with on-call production support as needed.

Duties

• We currently have a contract position for Java Developer with below experiemce Banking client at Location -Hybrid 3 days– Client Office - Scarborough or /AND Downtown.

Functional Role: Java Backend Developer with Open Liberty (preferred)

Roles and responsibilties

1. Active participant during Requirement Phase, create dev work packages, Drive solution design, ability to drive project execution in onsite-offshore delivery model.

2. Adhere to coding standards and best practices; perform technical design, code reviews and development activities (Design, Development , Unit Testing, Development Integrated Testing)

3. Support and Troubleshoot technical issues during development, QA System Integrated/User Acceptance testing and production support

4. Coach, guide, review deliverables from extended offshore team if applicable.

5. Provide daily/weekly status activities to the client team in timely manner.

6. Role may require on call production support activities as may be determined with the client.

Qualifications to be successful in this role

1. Familiar with both waterfall and agile SDLC Life cycles.

2. Good hands on development experience in Java for 5yrs +

o Programming Experience: JAVA/J2EE, Spring Rest services, Micro services, OAUTH2.0, Swagger/Open API, Optional (ReactJS , Springboot, Node JS, JavaScript)

o DevOps Know how: Jenkins, GitHub, JFROG Artifactory, Ansible, JIRA, Confluence, Azure, OpenShift

o Service Discovery and Routing: HA Proxy, Apache web server, F5

o Cloud : GCP Preferred

o Middle Ware: IBM Open Liberty (key differentiator)

o Experience in containerization ( Docker)

o Experience in Google Kubernetes (GKE)

Pay: Up to $70.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
